Aug 6, 2020. My first chemo treatment and my first hot flash. then... once every hour and a half every day and night since then. My Oncologist said effexor would help- it hasnt stopped them. At times I feel like Im being tortured. This art was created out of frustration. They can cure cancer ..... but not a hot flash? More than half the population deals with them but still no cure.

Why Cant they cure hot flashes?
This piece was created out of frustration and anger. Red hot and angry orange Acrylic paint. A liquid mess of emotions and heat swirling together. The black shape of a womens silouette who has been through chemo. A head scarf covers her bald head while she sweats in uncomfortable situations. The pink ribbons now turned black with rage are a subtle acknowledgment to those around her that shes notbeing edgy by going bald.
